Warren, Girard mayors seek re-election

WARREN — Two Trumbull County mayors announced their re-election bids Monday.

Warren Mayor Michael J. O’Brien told a crowd of supporters and city officials at the Mocha House that he plans to seek a second four-year term.

Girard Mayor James A. Melfi filed his petitions Monday, seeking a third four-year term.

O’Brien, who has served as a Warren councilman and Trumbull County commissioner, promised to bring experienced leadership to the mayor’s office. He said he’s worked hard over the past four years to bring the city together.
