Callos Companies: Expansion, record profits mark company's 41st year
BOARDMAN -- The Callos Companies recently completed its 41st year and posted record profits in 2006. The year also was its second-highest in terms of sales.
Callos said it is positioned for record sales this year by expanding geographically and adding to its product offering. The company has opened an office in Bedford, Pa., which puts in on the doorstep of entering a robust market in Maryland.
In addition, the company has added recruiting and order-filling presence in both Akron and Pittsburgh to take advantage of the growing medical staffing needs in those areas. Accounts already using the company's services include The Cleveland Clinic, University Health Systems and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
The full-service human resources and staffing company has a staff of 85 trained professionals.
Callos provides temporary employees to industrial and clerical users while also competing in the home health and medical staffing businesses. The company issued nearly 15,000 W-2's to its employees.
In the past two years, the company has invested over 500,000 in new technology, which has resulted in significant productivity improvements and cost savings.
