Poland man assaulted
POLAND — A 42-year-old Poland man was assaulted in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 3000 block of Center Road, where he had a previous confrontation with the attackers. The police report said the victim was about to enter the store when he was confronted by two men who threatened him with knives. The victim suffered lacerations and cuts on both arms, wrists, hands and face. He was treated at the scene by medical personnel and also said he would seek further treatment. The attackers, estimated to be in their late teens or early 20s, fled east on U.S. 224 in a white vehicle. The victim told police he was in the store about a month ago and the same two men were harassing store employees and he had intervened.
