Crash critically injures Warren man

Published: Mon, September 11, 2006 @ 12:00 a.m.

CHAMPION -- The pickup truck driven by Karl R. Larson Jr., 31, of Warren was totaled around 6:40 p.m. Sunday, and he was critically injured.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Southington post reported Larson went off the left side of the road while traveling westbound on State Road east of Templeton.

He overcorrected when he entered a curve and the pickup went off the right side road edge, then off the left side and struck a power pole, the patrol said.

Larson, who was not wearing a safety belt, was ejected. He was in critical condition Sunday night at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
