Published: Sun, September 10, 2006 @ 12:00 a.m.

SHARON, Pa. -- A First Street woman was taken to Sharon Regional Hospital after a fire damaged her apartment.

A Sharon firefighter carried the disoriented woman out of a burning duplex that sustained minimal fire damage Saturday.

Firefighters did not have her name or other details on her condition Saturday night. They said state fire marshals were en route to investigate.

Firefighters were called to 224 First Street around 7 p.m. Saturday and were on the scene about two hours.

Fire was contained to the front room of the first floor.

The occupants of the apartment on the second floor were out of the building when firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire and loss estimate were not determined. No other injuries to occupants or firefighters were reported.
