Salem, Potters winners in MAC

Cassie Guerrieri scored 18 points to pace Girard, which has won five straight matches.

SALEM -- Sarah Brobeck had seven kills and an ace to lead Salem to a three-set victory over Campbell Memorial Thursday in a Metro Athletic Conference volleyball match.

The Quakers (5-0, 4-0 MAC) won 25-5, 25-6, 25-10. Brittany Gregory had four kills and three aces, while Katie Scullion had four kills and a ace.

Kalli Zembillas led the Red Devils (0-6) with two kills and a block.

JVs: Salem 25-4, 25-3

East Liverpool 25-25-25-25,Struthers 27-17-10-9

STRUTHERS -- Amanda Campbell scored 25 points and had 11 assists for the Potters (3-2, 1-2 MAC). Rachel Klinac had 17 points and five kills.

Taylor Benton led the Wildcats with 16 points; Amanda Belasco had seven points and 12 digs, and Lauren Perry had 10 points and six kills.

JVs: East Liverpool 25-14, 25-20

Poland 25-20-25-17-15,Howland 21-25-18-25-10

POLAND -- Doni Muransky had 18 kills, three blocks and 17 points, Ashley Conger 27 assists, 10 digs and 19 points and Olivia Hartman 20 points and eight digs to lead Poland (2-2, 2-2 MAC).

For Howland (2-1, 2-1), Katlyn Flick and Kell Baczak had nine points each while Taylor Summerfield had 20 assists and 12 kills and Melissa Lubert three digs.

Canfield 25-25-25, Niles 5-14-16

CANFIELD -- Jackie Nentwick had 10 kills, five blocks, nine points and four aces for Canfield (4-2, 4-0 MAC). Courtney Rothbauer added 18 assists, six points and four aces and Katie Williams had 15 points, eight digs and two kills.

Danielle Berringer had seven digs, four kills, five blocks, two aces and five points for Niles (2-4, 1-4), while Allie Moss had five assists, three aces, three kills and eight digs.

Warren Harding 25-25-23-25,Wilson 23-21-25-21

YOUNGSTOWN -- Kristi Marz scored 19 points, four kills and three aces for Wilson (0-4). Raven Braley had 14 points, six kills and 22 assists, while Beth Kotapish had 11 points, five kills and 19 assists.

Belinda Hernon led the Raiders (2-1) with six kills. Jocelyn Richardson had 20 digs and Jasemine Stringer had three aces.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Vickie Kocanjer scored 13 points, five blocks and three aces for the Cardinals (2-0). Kelly Donoghue had 19 assists and three aces and Katy Cerni had 10 digs.

Shameka Starkey paced the Cowboys (3-3) with 15 points, 10 digs and two aces. Jacquela Teamor had 22 assists and Antoinette Smith had five kills.

AUSTINTOWN -- Caitlin O'Patchen paced the Falcons (3-0, 3-0 Federal League) with 20 points, 11 assists, 17 kills and five blocks. Hope Sweany added 27 digs and nine points, while Lindsay Vonschwarz had 11 assists, seven kills and nine points.

Katie Corrigan led Jackson with seven kills and Megan Danner had 12 assists.

BOARDMAN -- Courtney Schiffauer had 14 kills and nine blocks to pace the Spartans (2-2, 1-3) in the Federal League match. Danielle Williams had 32 assists.

Brittany Poling had 23 kills and Aubrey Kirven had 45 assists for Lake (3-4, 2-2).

Hubbard 25-25-25, LaBrae 6-16-6

HUBBARD -- Sophie Paddock had 14 kills, five blocks and 14 points to lead Hubbard (3-0, 3-0 Trumbull Athletic Conference). Lauren Ferguson added 28 assists and Kim Budd had 10 digs.

Lindsey Higgins had eight assists and Stephanie Higgins had six kills and eight digs for LaBrae (2-3, 1-2).

BROOKFIELD -- Jo Novotny led the Bulldogs (8-1, 2-1 TAC) with 23 kills and 11 digs, while Haley Bates had 12 points, 31 assists and six kills. A'Laura Giesy had 12 points, with five aces, six blocks and three kills.

Morgan Bonekovic had 25 kills, 20 digs and four blocks for the Warriors. Taralee Williams had 14 points, 39 assists and 24 digs, while Samantha Bombeck had 19 digs and two points.

Liberty 25-25-18-25,Newton Falls 16-16-25-10

NEWTON FALLS -- Megan Kay had 13 kills, three blocks, 25 digs to lead Liberty (4-1, 2-1 TAC). Darby O'Donnell had 23 points and Jessie Szakacs had 18 points and nine kills.

Kelsey McGregor had 11 kills, three aces and Kirsten Berry had six kills, seven digs and 11 points for Newton Falls (2-4, 0-2).

CHAMPION -- Cassie Guerrieri scored 18 points to pace Girard, which has won five straight matches. Elise Roscoe had nine kills, eight aces and three blocks, and Aysha Nickels had 23 assists.

Champion was led by LeAnn Thompson with six assists and Amy Allen with five kills.

NORTH JACKSON -- Jennifer Kolosky scored 13 points, with three aces, 32 sets and 12 assists for the Jackson-Milton (3-0, 3-0 Inter-Tri-County League). Alyssa Chine, who had 20 digs, and Laura Yash each had seven kills.

Rachel Marotti led the Rockets with 15 points and Kaitlin McCarthy had 32 digs.

South Range 25-25-25,Lisbon 19-21-21

NORTH LIMA -- Annie Semko had seven kills, five digs and two aces to lead South Range (5-1, 3-1 ITCL). Ashley Vaughn added four aces and five kills, while Megan Sosnowski had 30 assists.

Abby Kibler had four points, two aces, six digs and four kills for Lisbon (0-5, 0-4).

SALINEVILLE -- Jenna Lischak sparked the Blue Devils (2-3, 2-1 ITCL) with 33 points, six aces, two kills. Lainey Kekec added 19 points, two aces, 15 kills, 15 assists and three blocks, while Kailyn Mowery had 26 points, two aces, five kills and four blocks.

Emily Ramsey scored 13 points, with three aces and seven kills for the Indians (0-4, 0-3). Alyssa Lockhart had 13 points, three aces and three kills.

Mathews 25-25-25,Bloomfield 15-17-16

VIENNA -- Jenna Manz scored 15 points, with three aces and 15 assists for Mathews (6-0, 3-0 Northeastern Athletic Conference). Rachel Agne had 10 points and four kills, and Breanne Gollan had nine kills.

Brianna Torian led Bloomfield (1-3, 1-2) with 17 points and three aces, while Jessica Lewis had five blocks and two kills.

Lordstown 25-25-27,Pymatuning Valley 14-18-25

LORDSTOWN -- Ashley Gibbs had four aces and 13 points and Meagan Gibson 12 kills and six blocks to lead Lordstown (4-1, 3-0 NAC). Karly Gibbs added 16 assists.

For Pymatuning Valley, Bridgette Jewell had six kills, Brandy Romanowski seven digs and eight points and Jen Bidell seven assists.
