Ex-boyfriend jailed in burglary

Published: Fri, September 8, 2006 @ 12:00 a.m.

BOARDMAN -- An Erie Street man was in the Mahoning County jail, accused of breaking into his former girlfriend's home and threatening her with a golf club.

Jeremy Morgan, 23, is charged with aggravated burglary and domestic violence.

A 25-year-old Southern Boulevard woman told police that she was watching television in her apartment with her boyfriend early Thursday when she heard her front door being forced open.

She said her former boyfriend, Morgan, swung a golf club in the direction of her and her boyfriend and yelled that he was going to kill them.

She told police that Morgan pushed her out the front door of the apartment and struck her in the buttocks with the golf club. The two argued until police arrived and Morgan was arrested.

Police saw no injuries on the woman, and the boyfriend had a small red mark on his forehead but declined medical attention.
