SOCCER

Women

Westminster 3, Waynesburg 0 -- The Titans (12-5-1, 5-1 PAC) scored all three of their goals in the first 17 minutes. Westminster outshot the Yellow Jackets (5-11-1, 1-5 PAC) by a count of 21-3. Sophomore Abby Montgomery opened the scoring on an assist from junior Mallory Bugel in the fifth minute. Bugel then scored an unassisted goal in the 13th minute before sophomore Christina Adams (Hubbard) netted her team-high 12th goal of the season and the match's final goal on an assist from senior Christa Andamasaris (Champion) in the 17th minute.

Mount Union 4, Heidelberg 2 -- Sara Payne and Cortney Frederick each had two goals for the Raiders (6-11-1, 3-5-1 OAC).

Grove City 4, Thomas More 4 -- Grove City (10-6-1, 3-1-2 PAC) and Thomas More (11-6-1, 5-0-1) drew in double overtime.

#4 Washington Jefferson (10-7-2 overall, 3-2-1 PAC) at #1 Thomas More (11-6-1 overall, 5-0-1 PAC) - 4 p.m.

Championship - Saturday, November 4, 2006 at highest remaining seed - 1 p.m. (11 a.m. if doubleheader with men).

Men

Westminster 4, Waynesburg 2 -- Andrew Saporito scored three goalsfor the Titans (10-6-2, 4-2 PAC). Saporito has a team-high 11 goals. The Yellow Jackets are 7-12, 2-4 PAC.

Daemen 2, Geneva 1 -- Geneva was eliminated from the AMC North race. Geneva is 3-11-3, 0-4-1.

Grove City 4, Thomas More 0 -- Grove City (11-5-1, 4-2 PAC) earned its fifth straight victory.

VOLLEYBALL

Westminster College 25-30-30-30, Thomas More 30-24-17-16

Saint Vincent 30-30-28-30, Westminster 19-20-30-22 -- The Titans locked up the top seed in next week's Presidents' Athletic Conference championships. The Titans are 23-9, 10-2. Thomas More is 14-16, 7-5. Saint Vincent is 27-4. Junior Diana Conzett (Hubbard) and senior Katie McDermott (Austintown Fitch) led the way for the Titans against Thomas More with 16 and 14 kills, respectively. Conzett and McDermott also posted four blocks apiece.
