ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Boardman-Canfield Branch, will meet Wednesday at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, Canfield, for a light supper at 6:30 p.m. Norman Craig will present a program on "Annuities and Investments." ATHLETIC GROUPS

McDonald Basketball Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the high school cafeteria.

AUXILIARIES

Auxiliary of the Children's Aid Society of Mercer County has changed its next meeting to 10 a.m. Nov. 3 due to Election Day. Plans will be made for a Christmas garland holiday fundraiser. New members are welcome.

Flora McDonald Auxiliary will meet for lunch at 11:15 a.m. Nov. 4 at the Shepherd of the Valley on Western Reserve Road, Boardman.

CLASSES

Wilson High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Denny's restaurant, Route 224, Boardman. All classmates and guests are welcome.

CLUBS

Poland Center Homemakers will meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Poland United Methodist Church for a casserole luncheon. Hostesses will be Marge Allmon and Hazel Freeze. The craft will be making 9-by-9 squares for blankets. Those attending should take 4-ply acrylic yarn and a hook.

Poland Women's Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the home of Ruth Ebert. The theme will be "Holiday Auction." Guests are welcome. Hostesses will be Kathy Sovik, Nancy Wilber and Terry Wittenauer.

Seton III will meet for a luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Overtures Restaurant. Afterward members will take a guided tour of the 7th District Court of Appeals. Mary Rita Carney and her committee, Martha Conroy, Catherine Coyle, Carol Franken, Claranne McCloud, Joan Oles, Florence Reardon and Jinx Storey, will be hostesses. Members are asked to take one-size-fits-all stocking hats, gloves and scarves to the November and December meetings for the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Womancare Center of UPMC Horizon's Book Club and Coffee Group will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at 875 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage, Pa., to begin a four-week discussion of "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. There is no fee. Youngstown Women's Connection will have a "Road Signs of Life" guest day luncheon Nov. 14 at the Italian American Banquet Center, 115 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. Doors will open at 11 a.m., and lunch is at noon. A special feature will be presented by Frank Marzullo of WFMJ TV-21, special music will be by Dale Wilson, and the speaker will be Tom Ford. LEAGUES

Boardman-Poland Junior Women's League will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at Glenellen Retirement Community, 9661 Market St. Ticket collection will continue for "A Countdown to Christmas" dinner, dance and raffle to be held Nov. 17 at Mr. Anthony's, Boardman. Membership is open to women 18 and over who live in Mahoning, Columbiana or Trumbull counties. POLITICAL CLUBS

Canfield Republican Women will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Lunch will be at noon. Stephen Bennett of Mahoning County Career and Technical Center will discuss Japanese vs. American education. Decorations will be by Mary Alice Bradshaw and JoAnn Reese. Guests are welcome. RELIGIOUS GROUPS

McDonald Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the K. of C. Hall, Illinois Avenue.

Mothers of Crucifix Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Youngstown, will meet at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 5 at the lower church hall with Elizabeth Mirone presiding. A Christmas party will be planned and refreshments will be served.

St. Rose Quilting Group meets at 10 a.m. every Wednesday at the parish house.United Methodist Women of Richard Brown United Methodist Church Thursday at the church after the 12:15 p.m. executive committee meeting. Ruby Kuhns will preside, and lunch will be served at 1 p.m. by Karen Myers and her committee. Marilyn Blewitt will give the blessing. A program on "World Thank Offering" will be presented by Jo Holt. Members are reminded to take boxes of their donation.

Youngstown Council of Catholic Nurses will meet at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at St. Matthias Church Hall, 15 Cornell Ave., Youngstown. There will be a Chinese auction. The cost of the luncheon is 6.50 and should be prepaid by Monday by sending a check to Virginia Criscone Janacone, 464 Catherine St., Youngstown, OH 44505.

SERVICE CLUBS

Girard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Golf Dome, 1300 N. State St.

Girard-Liberty Rotary will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Amen Corner, 20 W. Main St.

SINGLES

D.A.R.E., a social group for divorced, widowed or separated people, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Boardman Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. Other activities include: Monday, bike riding on Kirk Road at 6:30 p.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday, dance lessons with Judy Conti at 7 p.m. at Wedgewood Plaza, cost is 5. Original Christian Singles will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 6 at Glenwood Fellowship Church, Glenwood Avenue Extension, Boardman. The Fellowship Men's Quartet will entertain. Members should take pumpkin pies, doughnuts or other Thanksgiving desserts. The group is open to widowed, divorced or single people 35 and older. Next month's meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Dec. 4 at Denny's in Boardman. Those attending will order from the menu, and a guest singer will entertain.

Single for Any Reason has planned dinner out at Top Notch Diner, Elm Road, Cortland, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday followed by board meeting at 8 and general meeting afterward. Call (330) 372-7124 for more information.

Empty Arms Support Group is changing its meeting place to the Womancare Center, 875 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage, Pa. The next meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 13.
