Girard shop break-in leads to 3 arrests
GIRARD -- Three men were arraigned in Girard Municipal Court on Wednesday after an early morning break-in at a city bicycle shop.
Girard police responded to a burglar alarm at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday at Frankford Bicycle, 964 N. State St., where a window had been broken out and two bicycles valued at 780 had been taken.
Police arrested three suspects a short distance away at Family Video, 801 N. State St. A police report says Chad A. Lee, 21, and David R. Aston, 21, of both of Warren, and James R. Garvin, 20, of Cortland, were driving a pickup truck with the bicycles in the back.
All three pleaded innocent to the same four charges at a court hearing Wednesday. The charges are one count of possession of criminal tools, one count of receiving stolen property, one count of breaking and entering, which are all felonies, and one misdemeanor count of attempted breaking and entering.
All three will have a preliminary hearing at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in municipal court.
