CANFIELD -- Old North Church was the setting at 11 a.m. Sept. 16 as Tonya Lynn Wajda, 5675 Bushnell Campbell Road, Kinsman, and Raymond J. Carpenter, 185 Morris Ave., Girard, were united in marriage.
The Rev. Tom Fennell performed the ceremony for the daughter of Michael and Jacki Wajda, of the Kinsman address, and the son of Larry Carpenter of Warren and Janet Carpenter of Liberty.
Afterward the couple accepted congratulations during a reception held at the Byzantine Center at the Grove before leaving on a wedding trip to Las Vegas.
They live in Girard.
The bride's ivory gown was enhanced with silver accents.
Sage-green gowns were worn by Toni Marcis, the honor attendant; the bridesmaids, Katrina Carpenter, Diana Carpenter, Christine Mariacher, Gina Behnke, McKenzie Brown, Andrea Dietz and Sandy Mealy; and the junior bridesmaids, Samantha Dietz and Brianna Carpenter. Flower girl was Courtney Carpenter.
Dr. Paul Pagano performed the duties of best man, and serving as groomsmen were Craig Carpenter, Keith Carpenter, Michael Wajda, Michael Leskovec, Daniel Holmes, Robert Hunkus and Robert Teter.
The bride attended Youngstown State University and is a homemaker.
The groom, a sales representative with Matthews International Corp. in Pittsburgh, graduated from YSU with a bachelor's degree in finance.
