Boardman 4-0 winner in sectional

The Spartans will play Louisville, which defeated Canfield, 2-1.
BOARDMAN -- Chloe Zidian scored two goals to pace the Boardman High girls soccer team, which defeated Marlington 4-0 in a Division I sectional opener on Tuesday.
Jamie Avona and Katie Stoll each had an assist for the Spartans (10-6-1). Lani Vlad, goalie, had three saves.
Angie Nutial had four saves for the Dukes (6-9-2).
Boardman will play Louisville, which defeated Canfield 2-1, Saturday at 7 p.m.
Poland 8, Canton McKinley 0
POLAND - Senior forward Maureen Malone had three goals, senior forward Sam Stanich had two tallies and senior midfielder Stephanie Armstrong, sophomore midfielder Sam Robertson and senior forward Kasey Eckman had one apiece for Poland.
Junior Erin Eckman had two saves and classmate Pam Shure had one save for Poland, while McKinley's Sarah Milligan had 16 stops for McKinley (3-12-3).
In a sectional final on Saturday at 5 p.m. at home, Poland (13-2-2) will play Uniontown Lake.
Howland 5, Harding 1
WARREN -- The top-seeded Tigers (12-1-3) received solo goals from five players to advance to Saturday's home sectional championship game.
Melissa Kohn had a goal and two assists, Britany Martorana contributed a goal and an assist while Kelley Drew, Deja Amato and Megan Long each scored once.
Jessica Prokop and Chelsea Palma had assists for Howland which led just 2-1 at the break.
Jenna Bolino scored off a pass from Liz Yuricek for Harding (9-7-1).
Due to wet grounds, the game was moved to Mollenkopf Stadium.
Louisville 2, Canfield 1
CANFIELD -- Audrey Smith scored the goal for the Cardinals (10-6-1) on an assist from Noelle Fox. Anokha Padubidri had eight saves.
