HUBBARD -- Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Edwards, 312 W. Park Ave., have returned from a 17-day bus trip to the Red Canyonlands of Utah, during which they visited 15 states and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Upon their return on Sept. 28, the couple were greeted by a lawn display of hearts arranged by neighbors.

The anniversary celebration was continued at three dinner parties held in their honor by family members and friends.

The former Kay Hartman and Mr. Edwards were married Sept. 29, 1956, at Lowellville United Methodist Church, where they are members.

Mr. Edwards served with the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He retired after 32 years of service with Sharon Steel Corp. and after 10 years with American Cap Co. in Wheatland, Pa.

Mrs. Edwards is a home maker and is a member of the church choir.

They have 78 nieces and nephews.
