'New Orleans Food'
New Orleans native Tom Fitzmorris is a food critic, but his "New Orleans Food" (Stewart, Tabori & amp; Chang, $19.95) has the cozy feel of a home cook's cookbook.
Its doable recipes include his own Cajun- and Creole-influenced dishes as well as those from the restaurants.
It's at some Barnes & amp; Noble bookstores as well as amazon.com.
New Nestle's chocolate
The latest entry in the sudden wave of manufacturer interest in dark chocolate is new, premium-priced, Nestle Chocolatier baking chocolate. It comes in two cacao-bean intensity levels: 53-percent cacao dark chocolate and 62-percent cacao bittersweet chocolate.
At one discount supermarket, all were priced at $3.69 (that's 46 cents an ounce for the bars, 37 cents an ounce for the chunks and morsels). At the same store, the 8-ounce box of Nestle's regular semisweet baking chocolate is $2.33 (29 cents an ounce), and the 12-ounce bag of chips is $2.29 (19 cents an ounce). Yes, the new chips cost almost exactly twice as much as the regular ones.
