GALLOWAY -- The marriage of Linda Jean Fithian of Columbus and Joseph Britton Swartz, 1408 Virginia Ave., Columbus, was solemnized at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 9 at The Darby House, where their reception was held after the ceremony.
The Rev. Tom Hyland officiated for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Fithian, 147 Shorehaven Drive, Youngstown, and the son of Mrs. Barbara Lemieux of Columbus and the late Harold E. Swartz.
After accepting congratulations, the couple left for a honeymoon at Salt Fork State Park Lodge.
They live in Grandview Heights.
Sequins and beading embellished the bride's gown of ivory chiffon over satin.
Teal-colored gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Catherine Williams of Columbus, and the bridesmaids, Victoria Thompson of Worthington; Tanya Hannah of Columbus, the groom's sister; and Antonia Hargrett of Columbus, a niece of the groom.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's brother, David Swartz of Clearwater, Fla., and serving as groomsmen were Andr & eacute; Hannah of Columbus, the groom's brother-in-law; and Tad Fithian of Youngstown, brother of the bride. Ring bearer was Simon Williams of Columbus, the bride's nephew.
