CAMPUS NOTES \ IN THE SPOTLIGHT

BETHANY COLLEGE, BETHANY, W.VA.

Two area students have been named to the Homecoming Court at Bethany, and both have been nominated for homecoming king. The crowning will take place during today's football game against Grove City College. The local nominees are Zach Moinet, son of Chris and Judi Moinet of Greenville, Pa., and T.J. Parker, son of Ray Parker and Cindy Fuentes of Austintown. Moinet is representing the Independent Student Body and is a communication major, a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, a Senior Fellow of the Communication Department and an annual intramural participant. Parker is also representing the Independent Student Body and is a physical education major. He is captain of the Bethany football team, vice president of the Physical Education Club and a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

CLARION UNIVERSITY, Clarion, Pa.

Kevin Rigby, son of Jeff and Carol Rigby of Cortland, has been awarded a 1,000 Al and Karen Jacks Football Scholarship. He is a senior business marketing major and a graduate of Lakeview High School.

DENISON UNIVERSITY, Granville, Ohio

Jacob Neiheisel, son of James and Pat Neiheisel of Leetonia, has been named a senior fellow in the philosophy department. He is a 2003 graduate of United Local High School and has a political science and philosophy double major.

ASHLAND UNIVERSITY, Ashland, Ohio

Carrie Hubbard of Canfield and Kristen Reamensnyder of Cortland are members of the Eagle Elite dance team at Ashland. Hubbard is the daughter of Gary and Carol Hubbard and is majoring in speech communication. Reamensnyder is the daughter of James and Michele Reamensnyder and is majoring in biology. The Eagle Elite dance team is a performance organization whose purpose is to promote school spirit though dance. The team performs during halftime at home basketball games. Members must maintain a 2.3 grade-point average and commit time to practice and fundraisers.

UNIVERSITY OF FINDLAY, Findlay, Ohio

Jason Harsanye, a senior pharmacy major and the son of Karen and Glenn Harsanye of Austintown, has been elected president of Findlay's Spanish Club. He is a 2001 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School.

WESTMINSTER COLLEGE, New Wilmington, Pa.

Gabrielle Ordonez, daughter of Roberto and Audrey Ordonez of Wheatland, Pa., has been elected to fill a vacancy on the Westminster College Student Government Association. She is a senior intercultural studies major and a graduate of home-schooling.

MARYWOOD UNIVERSITY, Scranton, Pa.

Jenna Audia of Canfield, a theater major, is serving as stage manager for the Marywood production company presentation of "Quilters," a musical ensemble, now running at Marywood. She is a 2004 graduate of Canfield High School.
