Kent State University Mothers Club will meet at noon Wednesday at noon at Olive Garden, Route 224, Boardman. Scholarships will be awarded to two students, plans will be completed for 2006-07 and an afghan drawing will be held. Hostesses will be Rose Maczko, Marge Hamrock and Ann Birch. Perc Kelty, former chief photographer for Youngstown Steel Co., will present "The Steel Industry of Youngstown" when the Youngstown Torch Club meets Monday at Noodles Restaurant, located in Kilcawley Center on the Youngstown State University campus. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner to follow at 6. Kelty's presentation will start at 7 and will include a slide show. The public is welcome. League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown will meet Monday in the Gathering Room at Park Vista South, Fifth Avenue, Youngstown. A silent auction will begin at 5:15 p.m., followed by dinner at 5:45 and a meeting at 6:30, which will include a vote on the slate of proposed 2006 officers. Reservations were taken for this event.
