Family event held to mark Comeau 50th

XNILES -- Mr. and Mrs. Ted Comeau, 1467 Tripodi Circle, were honored by family members on March 18 at Alberini's as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a dinner party.
The couple's family includes Rene & eacute; Wilder of New Castle, Pa., David and Chris Comeau of Austintown and four grandchildren.
Mr. Comeau and the former Bonnie Pirigyi were united in marriage March 16, 1956, in Washington, where she was working at The Pentagon. He was stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps at Quantico, Va.
Mr. Comeau retired from the Marine Corps after 23 years of service from 1942 to 1965. After 15 years of employment, he retired from General Motors Corp. in Lordstown.
The couple moved to North Carolina, where they lived 18 years before making their home in Niles. Mr. Comeau is a member of the Niles VFW and the Moose Lodge.
