East Stroudsburg 6-4, Slippery Rock 5-2
ALLIANCE -- Mount Union College's men's indoor track team, fresh off the heels of winning an unprecedented 29th Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championship, sent seven athletes to the national meet at St. Olaf's College. Six Purple Raiders earned All-American status. The All-American honors went to senior Johnny Biacofsky in the 55-meter dash (2nd/6.39), junior Justin Rodhe in the shot put (7th/16.63m), junior Jeremy Velliquette in the one-mile run (6th/4:14.77), and the distance medley relay squad of Velliquette, senior Beau Livengood, junior Kyle Basista, and junior Ryan Garro, who placed 3rd with a time of 10:06.83. In the high jump finals, junior Eric Belancic finished 10th with a jump of 1.97m. The top eight competitors from each preliminary event advanced to the finals, while the top eight competitors from each final event earned All-American status.
