Struthers Rotary plans reverse raffle

Proceeds will benefit area students, Boy Scouts and the police department.
STRUTHERS -- Struthers Rotary Club will hold its fifth annual reverse raffle and dinner Friday at St. Nicholas Banquet Hall, 764 Fifth St.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and a dinner will be served at 7.
Tickets for the event are $100 each and include a chance to win a grand prize of $3,000 or one of five $100 prizes, hors d'oeuvres, the buffet dinner and an open bar. Dinner-only tickets are available for $30.
A 50-50 raffle will also take place during the evening, and there will be other cash-prize contests.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Boy Scout Troop 101, which has assisted Rotary members for many years at their pancake breakfasts and spaghetti dinners and is involved in projects benefiting the community. Funds will also be used to help purchase a defibrillator for the Struthers Police Department as well as assist the Struthers School Foundation for Educational Excellence in providing extended educational activities not provided by the school district.
