XORMOND BEACH, Fla. -- The Rivergate Chapel on the Halifax River was the setting at 11 a.m. Feb. 4 for the wedding of Cheryl A. Rider, and Michael J. Shockey, both of 80 Tropical Falls Drive.
Ginnie Mercer, a notary public, presided at the ceremony for the daughter of Richard Crytser, also of 80 Tropical Falls Drive, and the late Carol Crytser, former Boardman residents, and the son of Audley and Ira Shockey of Ocala, Fla.
A reception was held after the ceremony at Betty's A-One-A Cafe on the Ocean at Ormond by the Sea. The couple spent their honeymoon in St. Augustine, Fla., and live in Ormond Beach.
The bride wore an ensemble that featured a white satin long-sleeved blouse enhanced with crystals and crepe palazzo pants.
Roberta Davis of Holly Hill, Fla., served as honor attendant.
The duties of best man were performed by James Mercer of Palm Coast, Fla.
The bride attended Youngstown State University and is employed with Disney Foreign Film Division in Orlando.
The groom is employed at Traffic Control Devices in Deland, Fla.
