Firestone arts festto feature antiques
COLUMBIANA -- The 24th annual Harvey S. Firestone Park Festival of the Arts will offer antiques, arts and crafts from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 5 at Firestone Recreational Park. The festival is divided into sections, allowing visitors to find specific types of collectibles or to browse the entire show. Antiques are arranged around the track and football field. Crafts and fine crafts are located on a gently-sloping area, where many dealers make use of the trees to enhance their displays. A tent with local artists' work is nestled between the two.
The show features the Firestone Awards, which recognize the best fine craft and craft merchandise and the best booth displays. More than 200 area dealers take part in the festival.
Live entertainment is offered throughout the day at the park's gazebo, and a concession area is centrally located. Admission is free, but there is a $3 charge to park within the park boundaries.
