XMahoning Valley Civil War Round Table will meet at 6 p.m. Jan. 8 at Antone's Banquet Center in Boardman. The speaker will be Harold George, whose theme will be "Statues in Time: Ohio's Civil War Monuments." The cost is 12. Reservations are required and can be made with Gordy Morgan at (330) 726-7603.
XSt. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the parish house.
XYoungstown Women's Connection will hold a "New Year -- New You" luncheon at noon Jan. 9 at the Italian-American Veterans Centre, 115 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. "Journey to the Crown" will be the theme of the guest speaker, Joy Trachsel. There will be a special feature, special music, and Kara Thomas will present "Pilates for Life." The cost is 7.
