Tuesday, August 15, 2006 Recent reported criminal activity in Canfield city and Austintown: CANFIELD CITY Aug. 9 Arrest: A 22-year-old Boardman man was arrested on charges of criminal trespass at a home in the 300 block of Lisbon Street and of possessing drug paraphernalia. Aug. 11 Drug charge: Police arrested a 43-year-old Canfield man on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a bag of copper mesh, a crack pipe filter, a crack pipe and lighter. The crack pipes were hidden under a treadmill in his bedroom. Aug. 12 Drug charges: Police arrested a 21-year-old Youngstown man on charges of drug abuse and possession on W. Main Street after police found 5.5 grams marijuana. Aug. 13 Paraphernalia: A 25-year-old Canfield man was arrested on E. Main Street on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after finding a pipe with marijuana residue in it. AUSTINTOWN TOWNSHIP Aug. 7 Property damage: Debris from a township truck caused damage to a vehicle on Woodland Trace. Theft: A National City Bank credit card was stolen at Panera Bread, 5503 Mahoning Ave. Animal neglect: Cats and dogs were neglected and charges are pending with the Humane Society at a home in the 1200 block of N. Edgehill Avenue. Criminal damaging: A vehicle was keyed at a home in the 400 block of S. Raccoon Road. Theft: A Sony VCR/DVD camera was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Burkey Road. Theft: A 2003 Honda XR80 RS motorcycle was stolen from a home in 3900 block of Dunbar Ave. Theft: 25 miscellaneous CD's were stolen from an auto in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue. Criminal damaging: Damage to a vehicle was reported in the 4000 block of Falcon Drive. Burglary: A VCR and other items were taken from an apartment in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road. Aug. 8 Theft: A 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix was stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive. Theft: A purse was taken from a vehicle at Regal Cinemas, 6020 Mahoning Avenue. Theft: A mailbox and post were stolen from a home in the 300 block of N. Inglewood Avenue. Theft: A 2004 Chevrolet Impala was stolen from First Protection Systems, Inc., 5204 Mahoning Avenue. Burglary: A high pressure washer was stolen from a home in the 400 block of N. Four Mile Run Road. Aug. 9 Theft: A wallet was taken from an auto at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-six Drive. Theft: Approximately 35 compact discs were stolen from an auto in the 4000 block of Viall Road. Theft: Three welfare checks were stolen from a home in the 50 block of N. Four Mile Run Road. Theft: A Pioneer amplifier and DVD's were stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of N. Four Mile Run Road. Drug offenses: A Youngstown man from was arrested on charges of drug abuse of cocaine, trafficking in cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia at Kirk Road and Washington Square. Auto theft: A man was arrested on a charge of auto theft at Tattoo Odyssey, 5249 Mahoning Ave. The vehicle was returned. Telephone harassment: Harassing calls were made on a cell phone in the 20 block of Westminster Avenue. Aug. 10 Criminal damaging: A soda machine was pried open at Knight's Inn, 5431 Seventy-six Drive. Criminal damaging: A soda machine was pried open at Econo Lodge, 54311/2 Seventy-six Drive. Theft: A pool and installation was paid for but not delivered to a home in the 4000 block of Viall Road. Theft: A red and white boys' bicycle was stolen from a home in the 1000 block of Woodhurst Boulevard. Theft: A computer hard drive was stolen from Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road. Burglary: Several power tools were taken from a home in the 6000 block of Winter Park Avenue. Theft: Two speakers were taken from an auto in the 1000 block of Maplecrest Drive. Criminal damaging: A window was broken at an apartment in the 50 block of Westminster Avenue. Aug. 11 Drug offense: Two men, one from Canfield and one from Austintown, were arrested on charges of drug abuse of marijuana at Kirk Road and Allendale Ave. Breaking and entering: An unattached garage was broken into in the 40 block of E. Liberty Street and two storm windows were stolen. Theft: A Murray 24-inch blue bicycle was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive. Drug offense: A Warren man was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana in the 1000 block of Niles-Canfield Road. Criminal damaging: A vehicle was keyed at a home in the 5000 block of Willowcrest Drive. Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home on S. Raccoon Road. Criminal damaging: A garbage can was damaged in the 200 block of S. Main Street. Theft: Four lug nuts were stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive. Drug offenses: An Austintown man was arrested at a home in the 3000 block of Monaca Avenue on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Burglary: A Sony Playstation and games were taken from an apartment in the 4000 block of Washington Square. Criminal damaging: A tire was damaged on a vehicle at a home in the 5000 block of Tulane Avenue. Breaking and entering: A library trailer was entered at Lynn Kirk Elementary School, 4211 Evelyn Road. Aug. 12 Criminal damaging: A Goodyear tire was cut in the parking lot at 4000 Deer Creek Drive. Criminal damaging: A vehicle tire was cut in the driveway at a home in the 4000 block of Washington Square. Criminal damaging: Two tires were cut on a vehicle in the driveway of 4000 Washington Square Drive. Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged by fireworks at a home in the 4000 block of Patricia Avenue. Theft: A women's diamond ring was stolen from a home in the 600 block of Mallard Drive. Auto theft: A 1986 Buick Regal was stolen at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Avenue. Theft: A woman's purse was stolen from the B.P. Gas station, 3602 Mahoning Avenue. Theft: $20 was stolen from McDonald's, 5526 Mahoning Avenue. Theft: An employee theft of merchandise was reported at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Avenue. Aug. 13 Drug offense: An Austintown man was issued a summons on charges of possession of marijuana in the 100 block of Rosemont Avenue. Theft: $300 in cash, a compact disc player and CD's were stolen from an auto in the 3000 block of Lynhaven Road. Breaking and entering: A shed was broken into and five buses were entered and items stolen at the Leonard Kirtz School, 4801 Mahoning Avenue. Theft: A girl's mountain bike was stolen at Subway, 1600 S. Raccoon Road. Aggravated burglary: An unknown man assaulted the victim in a burglary at an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West apartments. Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 1000 block of S. Raccoon Road.
