XGIRARD -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 10 as Lisa Anne Griffin of Girard and Steve L. Phillips of Cortland were united in marriage by the Rev. Rob Ruiz at Summit Assembly of God.
After a reception at Leisure Lake Campground in Diamond, the couple left on a wedding trip to Charlotte, N.C., and Martinsburg, Va.
The bride, a daughter of Muriel Baranick of Austintown and the late Donald Baranick, is employed by an attorney in Boardman.
The groom is a son of Donald Phillips of Cortland and the late Ruth Charlotte Phillips. He is employed at Amweld in Garrettsville.
The bride's French-vanilla, ankle-length dress featured a tassel-trimmed crocheted bodice and a broomstick-pleated skirt enhanced with embroidery and crochet work. She was escorted by her children, Justin and Sarah Griffin.
Honor attendant was the bride's sister, Debra Massey of Glendale, Ariz., and the bridesmaid was Margaret Paden of Girard.
The duties of best man were performed by Carl Olexo of Niles.
