Liberty rolls, 48-6; LaBrae, Lakeview score shutouts

Chris Harded scored twice as the Leopards routed Cleveland East.
LIBERTY -- Liberty High ran 34 times for 191 yards and picked up seven touchdowns on the ground as the Leopards beat Cleveland East 48-6 Friday.
Chris Harden led the Leopards (2-0) with four carries for 24 yards and scores covering 11 and 5 yards.
Jonathan Wells ran 11 times for 78 yards and a 4-yard touchdown while Dania Gilliam had a 3-yard touchdown and gained 33 yards on four tries.
Twelve players ran the ball for the Leopards.
David Ferrell hit on both of his passes for 53 m yards as the Leopards had more first downs, 19-5.
The Bombers (0-2) fell behind 41-0 at the break.
Lakeview 14, Conneaut 0
CORTLAND -- Matt Kohuth rushed for 91 yards and both Lakeview touchdowns.
Kohuth scored from 4 yards out midway through the second quarter and from the 1 late in the third period. Ed Margala added both extra points.
The Bulldogs (2-0) rushed for 223 yards. Brent Socie added 57 yards and Brett Davenport rushed for 46. Quarterback Kevin Albert completed 9-of-17 passes for 95 yards.
Ryan Harco intercepted two passes for Conneaut (0-2).
LaBrae 47, Mathews 0
VIENNA -- The Vikings (1-1) used an explosive offensive to even its record.
Eric Hart rushed four times for 119 yards, which included a 66-yard run for a touchdown. Danny Hartman, who gained 90 yards on nine carries, scored on runs of 1, 10 and 10 yards.
LaBrae rushed for 336 yards on 27 attempts and Mike Ryan connected on 8-of-11 passes for 158.
Mathews fell to 0-2.
Southeast 36,Newton Falls 6
NEWTON FALLS -- Joe Knopick was too much for Newton Falls to handle as the quarterback accounted for 301 total yards and was involved in 14 points to lead Southeast.
Knopick hit Micah Herndon on a 21-yard scoring pass, rushed one yard for another TD and kicked two extra points to key the offense.
Herndon also scored on a 17-yard run and had 10 catches for 159 yards.
Knopick passed for 166 yards on 13-for-16 and rushed for 135 yards in 18 carries.
Kurt Obaczky rushed for 61 yards in seven attempts, including a 3-yard TD run, to aid the winners.
Mike Pelyak led Newton Falls (0-2) with 52 yards passing on 6-for-21 and 24 yards rushing in eight carries, while George Davis contributed 58 yards rushing in 13 carries.
Tamir Grogan scored the Tigers' lone TD on a 35-yard run.
