A. Falcons pull past Rondinelli

Mink Financial has won three straight games.

STRUTHERS -- Jared Bartholomew hit a two-run home run as the Astro Falcons defeated Rondinelli, 7-2, in Class B baseball action at Cene Park.

John Mang tossed a complete game as the Falcons handed Rondinelli its first defeat after five straight victories. Mang (2-0) had five strikeouts and doubled while Drew Turocy had two hits for the winners (5-1).

For Rondinelli, Matt Dado doubled.

Mink Financial 5,Youngstown Express 2

Lonnie McQueen had a triple and a single for Mink (4-2), which won its third straight game. Kolton Morrison had two hits and Matt Weymer (2-0) picked up the win.

Josh Tedesco picked up the save with four strikeouts in 11/3 innings of work.

Mark Cartwright had two hits for the Express (2-4).

R & amp;J Trucking 15, Roth Brothers 14

R & amp;J overcame deficits of 7-0 and 9-7 to win. Jim Pasquine, Ed Rohan, Aaron Cosma and Dan Moran each had two hits.

Pasquine got the win in relief while Ben Mackall (0-2) suffered the loss.

For Roth, Cory Sternihal homered and doubled while Joe Razzano, Tyler Miesky and Trent White had two hits each.

Dave Sugar Excavating 10, Koch/Line Drive 7

Jordan Reynolds had a triple and a single and four runs batted in.

Sugar used a four-run fourth inning and a five-run fifth frame to even its mark at 3-3.

Brian Hritz allowed just one run in 32/3 innings of relief to pick up his second win.

Greg Sansone had a two-run home run along with a single while Joe Iacobucci had a triple and a single, and Nick Turco a pair of singles for Koch/Line Drive (1-5).

Wharmby 11, Livi Steel 4

A pair of four-run innings enabled Wharmby to improve to 4-2. Jake Gross, Ryan Logan and winning pitcher Tom Popidak had three hits each.

Popidak tossed a complete game to even his record at 1-1, allowing two earned runs with seven strikeouts.

For Livi (2-4), Marc Rossi and Brock Stevens hit triples and Manoli Pahoulis and Steve Bowles contributed doubles.

Mink Financial 7, Roth Brothers 5

Chris Pechalk homered and doubled to lead Mink team past Roth Brothers.

Pechalk and Dave Piersante each drove in two runs while Lonnie McQueen's two hits for Mink (3-2) included a triple. Kolton Morrison relieved Ryan Myers to earn the victory.

For Roth (0-5), Matt Vince had three hits and Trent White took the mound loss.

Rondinelli Tuxedo 10,Line Drive 0

Tom Clayton tripled while Frank Rosile and Matt Katich doubled for Rondinelli (4-0).

Rosile and Katich each drove in three runs.

Tim Carney tossed a one-hitter with two strikeouts to earn the pitching victory.

Greg Sansone took the loss for Line Drive (1-3).

Livi Steel 14, R & amp;J Trucking 8

Scooter Hargate homered and doubled to drive in three runs for Livi Steel (2-3).

Hargate and Manoli Pahoulis each had three hits.

Tony Pozega drove in three runs for the winners. Bobby Revesz pitched five innings, scattering five hits and allowing one earned run.

For R & amp;J Trucking (3-2), Joe Fox homered and drove in two runs with two hits.

Ed Rohan's two hits included a double.

Paul Ruchtie also had two hits.

Craig Schmidt took the mound loss.
