BOARDMAN -- Boardman High School will host a jazz concert including both ensembles from the high school at 7 p.m. today in the high school cafeteria.
Director Thomas M. Ruggieri will lead the program, which features jazz members from the senior class.
The first ensemble will perform tunes such as "Seven Steps to Heaven" and "Hot House." Seniors in the first ensemble include Mary Ann Dietrich, Tyler Drombosky, Andy Goddard and Ryan Hart.
The second ensemble, featuring senior members Brian Moss and John Rudolph, will showcase tunes such as "Twisted," "Sack O' Woe" and an arrangement of the Jimi Hendrix tune "The Wind Cries Mary."
The Spring Jazz Concert will take place in the cafeteria instead of the Performing Arts Center because of tradition. The entrance is located on the north side of the building.
Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for students. Senior citizens are admitted free. The school will serve refreshments.
