Will Underwood becomeworld's sexiest vegan?

LOS ANGELES -- MSNBC.com's The Scoop reports that "American Idol" winner and vegetarian Carrie Underwood is the leading vote-getter in an online poll by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (www.peta.org) to find the world's sexiest vegetarian. She's ahead of the likes of Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow. We send happy thoughts to Carrie and the male veggie leader, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, who's pitted against Christian Bale and Morrissey. Winners will be announced next month. Meanwhile, seems you all want a piece of Bo Bice so badly that "Idol" runner-up's single, "Inside Your Heaven," which doesn't come out until June 21, is numero uno on barnesandnoble.com's best-sellers list, thanks entirely to pre-orders.

An ex-Mrs. Trump hasa building plan of her own

NEW YORK -- The New York Daily News reports Donald Trump's ex-wife Ivana is challenging the ego-endowed Donald's planned 64-story Trump International Hotel and Tower in Vegas with a Sin City building of her own. Seems Ivana is partnering up with Australian developer Victor Altomare to build The Ivana, a 73-story condo tower billed as "the tallest residential building Las Vegas will ever see." Ivana's rep wouldn't comment to the News.

Lauper, husband file suitover rent in the Big Apple

NEW YORK -- Cyndi Lauper, the '80s singing star who has staged a successful comeback, and her hubby, actor David Thornton, are suing the owner of a posh Big Apple apartment building, alleging they should only be paying $508 a month for their rent-stabilized pad, not the $3,250 they're being charged. Owners 390 West End Associates counter the celeb couple is subletting the apartment from a third party, a Shlomo Baron, who's not using the place as his primary residence, which means he doesn't qualify for the rent-stabilized price and himself pays $2,400 a month. A June 7 court date has been set.

Leno's fund-raising cycleon display at Ark. museum

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Normally, a Jay Leno motorcycle on tour to raise money for tsunami relief wouldn't stop at a Little Rock museum. That was until the Clinton Presidential Library a few blocks away became a home base of sorts for the country's most prominent tsunami relief effort. "We thought it was fitting to bring the bike to Little Rock because of President Clinton's efforts in tsunami relief and to help out the Museum of Discovery's newest exhibit," said George Wheatley, director of governmental affairs for Waste Management, which bought the motorcycle on the eBay Internet auction site. "Hopefully, this bike will continue to help raise awareness and funds for the ongoing tsunami relief efforts." Waste Management raised more than $800,000 for the American Red Cross' aid for victims of the Asian tsunami by buying Leno's Harley-Davidson, which the NBC "Tonight Show" host had signed by more than 60 celebrities, including Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx and Nicole Kidman. The bike will be displayed for a week starting Friday. It will be the first time on its national tour that the bike will be displayed in a museum, Wheatley said.
