Two men injured in motorcycle accidents

YOUNGSTOWN -- Two city men were seriously injured in separate motorcycle accidents that took place about a half-hour apart Wednesday evening.

According to police, Ronald Ford, no age given, of 41191/2 Southern Blvd., suffered head injuries after the motorcycle he was riding crashed near Erie Street and Avondale Avenue on the city's South Side. No other information was available.

In another South Side accident near Market Street and Hylda Avenue, Oliver Danko, 67, of North Hartford Avenue, sustained head injuries after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle before striking a street sign pole, police said. Neither was wearing a helmet, police said.

Both were taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center. Danko was listed in critical condition; Ford was being evaluated in the emergency room.
