A double play turned a tie into a win.
STRUTHERS -- A three run rally by Dave Sugar Excavating in the fifth inning snapped a 3-3 tie as it posted a 6-3 victory over Roth Brothers in Class B League Wednesday at Cene Park.
It was the first win of the season for Dave Sugar (1-2).
Jordan Reynolds hit three singles and Joel Imler a double and single for Dave Sugar. Brian Hritz went the first five plus innings for the win.
Relief pitcher Josh Bartell came on with the bases loaded and one out in the top of the seventh inning and got a game-ending double play grounder to pick up the save.
Cory Sternihal had a double and a home run and two RBIs for Roth (0-3).
R & amp;J Trucking 9, Yo. Express 1
R & amp; J Trucking (2-1) used a five-run second inning and a three-run third to prevail.
Joe Fox hit a bases loaded triple in the five-run second, while Aaron Cosma had a pair of singles and two RBIs. Lou Collela tossed a complete game four-hitter with nine strikeouts for the win.
Tad Gaspar had a double for the Express (1-2).
Rondinelli 6, Wharmby Sports 3
Corey Collins pitched a complete game five-hitter with two strikeouts to pick up the win.
Cameron Cimino hit three singles to pace Rondinelli (3-0). Chuck Olesky added a pair of hits and Matt Dado hit a double.
Wharmby's Tom Popidak suffered the loss as he went the first 41/3 innings allowed four runs, three earned, on nine hits. He had four strikeouts.
Ryan Logan hit a double and Lou Kopachy two singles for Wharmby.
Astros 7, Mink 1
Kyle Smith struck out 14 as Astros remained undefeated at 3-0. He allowed four hits and walked just one.
Jared Bartholomew and Adam Wigley hit home runs in the four-run third inning for the Astros. Josh McKenney added three hits and Drew Turocy a double.
Lonnie McQueen had eight strikeouts in five innings of work for Mink, while Jeremy Womer and Chris Pechalk each hit doubles.

Jake Abbott tossed a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts as Livi Steel (1-2) won its first game of the season.
Matt Ruble had two of the four hits for Koch/Line Drive (1-2).
YOUNGSTOWN -- Three Youngstown Metro pitchers combined on a no-hitter in a 7-1 victory over Gibson-Governor.
John Hay went three innings to pick up the win.
