Korea veteransrecall armistice

Harry Ponikvar, above, of Poland and other members of the Korean War Veterans Association Honor Guard fire off a salute during a memorial ceremony on Wickliffe Circle in Austintown in remembrance of the signing of the armistice 52 years ago. The veterans held the ceremony Wednesday afternoon. They read the names of local soldiers who gave their lives. The group also recently placed a large bronze statue at the memorial. At left, Joseph Vrabel of Poland recites the pledge of allegiance while others salute.
