Surprise party held in honor of Blackstones' 50th

XAUSTINTOWN -- Robert and Naomi Blackstone of Austintown were honored with a surprise party June 25 at the Eagles Club on Raccoon Road in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.

The party was hosted by the couple's six daughters and their spouses, Roxanne and Denis Watkins of Youngstown, Kim and Tom Berquest of Austintown, Patricia Cramer and Keith Reynolds of Austintown, Robyn Blackstone of Florida, Sheila Cochran of Austintown, and Bobbi Jo and Rick Smith, also of Austintown. Also serving as hostesses were Mrs. Blackstone's sister, Wilma Pitt of North Jackson, and Linda English.

One daughter, who was stillborn, and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren complete the family.

The former Naomi Robaugh and Mr. Blackstone were married June 25, 1955, at Hickory Square Methodist Church in Connellsville, Pa.

Mrs. Blackstone, a homemaker, was a cake decorator. Mr. Blackstone is retired from General Motors in Lordstown.
