July 13
Theft/forgery: A Joan Avenue man told police he received a phone call from Key Bank informing him that his account was overdrawn. He discovered several checks missing, and that $1,040 had been taken.
Thefts: Two women, one in the 1000 block of Woodlawn Avenue and the other in the 700 block of East Prospect Street, reported the thefts of political signs.
July 14
Theft: A man noticed a political sign he had posted in his yard in the 200 block of Glendale Avenue was stolen.
Theft: An East Main Street woman reported a compact-disc player stolen from a vehicle she borrowed from a Pennsylvania man.
July 15
Auto theft/recovered property: A man reported his 1988 Olds 98 missing from his driveway in the 500 block of North Avenue. He later discovered the car was towed.
