Penn-Ohio, Champion, MTC post victories

WARREN -- With a three-run third inning, Penn-Ohio held off a late rally by Bazetta-Cortland Optimist to post a 4-3 victory in Warren AA League baseball action at Perkins Park Caffie Field.
Sean Lucas sparked the winners as he went 4-for-4 and scored two runs. Ryan Banfield scattered six hits with seven strikeouts as he pitched a complete game for the win.
Molded Plastics 11, Metro Ice 5
Champion Molded Plastics scored three runs in the third inning, got a two-run home run from Chris Green in the fifth, then iced the contest with four more runs in the seventh at Packard Park MacGregor Field.
Green also singled.
Don Marsh and Tyson Rowland each hit a triple.
Dave Nypaver hit a double and three singles to pace Metro Ice.
MTC Knights 8, D & amp;K Trucking 4
With the scored tied 4-4, MCT Knights scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to prevail.
Carmen DeChristofaro worked seven innings as he scattered six hits and struck out five for the win.
Torrie Frangiamore, with two doubles, and Rick DiMuzio, with a double, each went 3-for-4 to spark the winners.
Corey Fiest led D & amp;K Roofing with a pair of singles.
