WARREN -- Registration is open for Packard Music Hall's fourth year of summer children's theater programming. There will be three sessions the week of July 11:
UPLAYtime, 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 4 to 7-year-olds, taught by Karen Horrell and crew. The pupils will explore visual arts, music, movement and storytelling as they dramatize stories. Pupils will be featured as munchkins and flying monkeys in July 16's performance of "The Wizard of Oz." Cost is $40.
UA Week with The Wizard (of Oz), 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday for 8 to 12-year-olds. Pupils will create their own improvisational scenes and will be featured in "The Wizard of Oz." Cost is $100.
UClowning Around with Movement, Mime, and Improv, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, for 13 to 18-year-olds. Pupils will integrate the visual arts with theater as they create their own characters, scenes and short scripts and will be featured in "The Wizard of Oz." Cost is $40.
Pupils 8 to 18 years old will work with Chicago Navy Pier featured performer Pamela Chermansky, who is originally from Newton Falls.
Performances of "The Wizard of Oz" will be 3 and 7 p.m. July 16. All pupils cast must be available for all scheduled performances. Contact Cherie Celedonia at (330) 841-2936 for more information.
