XCLEVELAND -- The Rev. John Zdinak solemnized the marriage of Loren Spickler, 19112 Prospect Road, Strongsville, and Matthew Finnerty of Cleveland at 3:30 p.m. May 29 at St. Theodosius Orthodox Cathedral.
A reception was held that evening at Michaud's Towne 'n Country in Strongsville, then the newlyweds left on a wedding trip to Maui.
The daughter of James and Kathy Spickler of the Prospect Road address and the son of Kevin and Mary Jo Finnerty, 2724 Spitler Road, Poland, live at 240 Fox Hollow Drive No. 104, Mayfield Heights.
Wearing light-green gowns were the honor attendant, Kim Rybold of Strongsville, and the bridesmaids, Miriam Gerken of Indiana and the bride's sister, Mary Spickler of Strongsville.
Lee Christiansen of North Dakota served as best man, and groomsmen were Rahul Ravi of Mayfield and the groom's brother, Dan Finnerty of Poland.
A graduate of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, the bride is employed at General Electric in Cleveland.
The groom is pursuing his teaching licensure at John Carroll University in University Heights. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in physics from CWRU, where he currently works as a lab assistant.
