MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- John Reimold scored 19 points and pulled down eight rebounds to lead Bowling Green past Central Michigan 77-73 Wednesday night.
Steven Wright added 15 for Bowling Green (12-4, 6-2 Mid-American), including a 3-pointer that hit the rim and bounced 3 feet in the air before falling through the net to give the Falcons the lead for good with 2:12 remaining.
Central Michigan (7-10, 2-7) had two turnovers in the final two minutes, while Reimold, from Kennedy Catholic High, had a layup and hit two free throws to seal the win.
Steve Harris led the Chippewas with a career-high 16 points and seven rebounds, while Eddie Spencer added 15 points and Kevin Nelson scored 14.
Ohio 76, Toledo 68
ATHENS-- Mychal Green scored 17 points, and Ohio survived a second-half shooting slump.
Ohio (9-7, 4-4 MAC) led by 20 points early in the second half, then went cold and managed only a pair of field goals in the final 9:35. The Bobcats were outscored 32-17 during one stretch.
Toledo (7-9, 3-4) cut it to 67-62, but Jeremy Fears hit all of his six free throws in the final 2:31 to preserve Ohio's lead.
Miami (Ohio) 85, W. Michigan 60
OXFORD -- Nathan Peavy scored 15 points and started a pivotal second-half run, leading Miami in a matchup of the MAC's two division leaders.
Peavy had a layup and a 3-pointer as Miami (11-5, 6-2) opened the second half with a 13-3 run, pushing its lead to 49-27.
Ben Reed scored a game-high 26 points for Western Michigan (13-5, 6-2), which shot only 31 percent from the field.
