CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Ivory Latta came up with a key rebound and made two free throws in the final seconds to lead No. 12 North Carolina to a 56-51 victory Monday night over top-ranked Duke, ending the nation's longest winning streak at 16 games. The Blue Devils, limited to just 13 first-half points, got back in the game when Monique Currie scored 17 of her 24 in a 51/2-minute span late in the game. Latta led North Carolina (15-3, 3-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) with 13 points, and Nikita Bell and La'Tangela Atkinson added 12 apiece as the Tar Heels ended a 12-game losing streak against the archrival Blue Devils (18-2, 4-1).

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Kathrin Ress scored 19 points to lead Boston College, which made a rout out of it with a 28-0 run after the Friars got a 3-point basket in the opening seconds. Ress made eight of 11 shots and added five rebounds for the Eagles (14-2, 5-0 Big East). Shauna Snyder hit five of 10 3-point shots and scored 17 for the Friars (1-16, 0-6).

BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Alicia Gladden scored 24 points and converted a three-point play with 2:18 remaining in the second overtime for the Seminoles (18-2, 5-1 Atlantic Coast Conference). Kerri Gardin had 22 points and 16 rebounds to pace the Hokies (12-5, 2-3) .
