GIRARD -- Unity Church Centre, 1226 Naylor Lloyd Road, will host the local premiere of the movie "Indigo" this weekend.

Shows will be at noon, 3:30 and 7 p.m. Saturday and noon and 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

The movie is being shown by more than 500 churches and organizations in 49 states and 35 countries as well as in AMC's DTDs Theaters nationwide.

The film, co-written by best-selling authors James Twyman and Neale Donald Walsch, is about redemption, grace and the healing powers of a new generation of psychic and gifted "Indigo" children, according to the film company's press release.

The movie tells the story of one family's fateful choices that result in bankruptcy, jail and their estrangement. Through the healing and psychic powers of the family's youngest member -- Grace -- a 10-year-old "Indigo" child, the family finally has a chance, according to the film company news release.
