Warden rescuesstarving dogsfrom home

Dave Nelson, Mahoning County deputy dog warden, checks a golden retriever removed from 1427 Bryson Ave., Youngstown. Some starving dogs inside the home broke through a window Monday afternoon to escape, Nelson said. He collected five dogs to take to the pound. Police who were called to the North Side house were told the woman who lives there hasn't been home in a while. Nelson said police were also told the house had a variety of cats, rabbits, fish and snakes.
