Dog sledding: $5 for five-minute ride. Located at Mirror Lake, behind the Best Western or the Hilton along Main Street.
Jackrabbit Trail: Cross-country and snowshoeing on a 60-mile groomed trail linking four local ski centers; (518) 523-1365.
Tip: Disposable hand-and-foot warmers fit in your gloves or boots and generate heat for hours; $2 a packet at sports and ski shops.
