XATLANTA -- Mr. and Mrs. Samuel DeMarte of Atlanta will celebrate their 63rd wedding anniversary on Jan. 31.
The couple lived at 31 Eve Drive, Struthers, for 36 years before moving in 2004 to Atlanta, where they live with their daughter, Patti DeMarte Head.
The couple have two other children, Dominic DeMarte of Clearwater, Fla., and Janiceof California. Their family also includes five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren in Georgia.
Mr. DeMarte and the former Julia Ross were married Jan. 31, 1942, in St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown.
He retired in 1980 as a machinist with Falcon Foundry in Lowellville. A veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II, he was also a member of Eagles 2536 in Struthers.
Mrs. DeMarte, a housewife, was a member of the Eagles 2536 Auxiliary.
They belonged to St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.
