ASSOCIATIONS

XDistrict 3, Ohio Nurses Association, will have a continuing education and membership meeting Jan. 22 at Mr. Anthony's, 7440 South Ave., Boardman. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., and at 9, Dr. Robert Lewis, a plastic surgeon, will speak on the topic, "Look Great, Feel Great." Makeup and jewelry displays and a fashion show are also planned. XWilliam Penn Association, Branch 28, will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Eat'n Park in Boardman for the yearly audit and discussion of upcoming events.

ATHLETIC GROUPS

XGirard High School Athletic Boosters will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the high school cafeteria.

XMcDonald Sideliners meet every Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Blue Devil Room at the high school.

AUXILIARIES

XEagles Auxiliary 3298, Raccoon Road, Austintown, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

CLASSES

CLUBS

XCasa Savoia will have a business meeting at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the West Glen Italian Eatery, 8600 Glenwood Ave. Members planning to attend are asked to call Carmel Holecko, Cecil Fumi or Roseann Garritano.

XChapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at Canfield Presbyterian Church for a noon luncheon meeting. Founders Day will be topic of the program, and hostesses will be Joan Morrison and Betty Whitman.

XMcDonald Arts and Crafts Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

XThe program topic will be "Herbal Skin Care" when Poland Women's Club meets at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at the home of Dru Marchese, 33 Beachwood Trail, Poland, who will serve as hostess along with Judy McKay and Kathy Morrison.

XYoungstown American Hungarian Club will meet for installation of officers and a business meeting at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the clubhouse. Upcoming events to be discussed include a roast chicken dinner Jan. 23 and a members' valentine party Feb. 6. Frank Tobias, newly elected president, will preside.

FRATERNAL GROUPS

XCroatian Fraternal Lodge No. 598 will meet at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building in McDonald.

XMcDonald Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the K. of C. Hall, Illinois Avenue.

GUILDS

XA meeting of Holborn Herb Growers Guild will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Canfield Fairgrounds. Sue Kasmer will present the program on spa treatment, massage and vitamins. Hostesses will be Marge French, Carol Martyn-Dow, Mabel Baker and Anne Peck.

LEAGUES

XJunior Women's League of Canfield will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Fair Park in Canfield. Heather Moser, watershed coordinator, will be the guest speaker. For membership information, call (330) 533-1503.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

XSt. Rose Quilters will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

XYoungstown Council of Catholic Nurses will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Johnny's, 876 E. Midlothian Blvd., Youngstown. Pam Spels, an archivist with the Mahoning Valley Historical Society, will present a program on the care of old photographs and manuscripts. New members are welcome.

SERVICE CLUBS

XGirard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Scenna's Family Restaurant, 1901 N. State St.

XGirard-Liberty Rotary will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the MetroPlex Centre, Liberty.

SINGLES

XA meeting of D.A.R.E. will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Boardman Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road. Other events planned next week are: Sunday, dance at 7 p.m. at Choices in Liberty, cost is $3 for members and $4 nonmembers; Monday and Tuesday, dance lessons with Judy Conti at 7 p.m. at Wedgewood Plaza, cost each night is $5; Wednesday, walking at 6:30 p.m. at Southern Park Mall, meet at the food court; and Thursday, meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the church.

XSingle For Any Reason members will go out to eat at 6 p.m. Monday at IHOP, 1980 Niles-Cortland Road; call (330) 372-7124. The group will play cards at 7 p.m. Jan. 21; those attending should take a snack and call the above number. On Jan. 22, the Road Work Band will be playing from 9 p.m. to midnight at Salem Eagles. SUPPORT GROUPS

XAlzheimer's Family Support Group will meet at 2 p.m. Monday at the Antonine Sisters Adult Daycare Center, 2691 N. Lipkey Road, North Jackson. The meeting is free and open to all caregivers, family members and friends with a loved one with memory problems. XAutism Support Group will meet from 6:30 to 8 Wednesday at the Comprehensive Children and Family Services, 194 E. State St., Sharon, Pa. The topic of discussion will be "Effective Disciplinary Strategies/Anger Management Skills." Anyone interested in attending should call (800) 630-2237. Child care will be provided and should be reserved at the time of the call.

VETERANS

XVFW Triangle Post 2799 will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the post home.
