Benjamin's career-high 27 points lifts Thiel

PEPPER PIKE -- Thiel shot 54 percent from the field and got a career-high 27 points and nine rebounds from senior center Kristen Benjamin in a 66-57 win over Ursuline College on Thursday night.
Sophomore guard Nicole Valentino added 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting for the Tomcats (4-10). She also had a career-best seven assists and five rebounds.
Ursuline (1-12) shot 58 percent from the floor in the opening half to lead 33-31. Thiel finished 27-of-50 (54 percent) from the floor and held a 33-18 edge in rebounds.
Lisa Piechowski and Tasha Mix each had 17 points for Ursuline.
Geneva 69, Carlow 58
PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Geneva picked up an American Mideast Conference North victory and won for only the second time in seven games.
Kylee Kittner led Geneva (7-6, 2-2 AMC North) with 16 points. Ali Cananzi added 11 points, including three 3-pointers, and freshman Allyson Clark totaled 10 points and nine rebounds.
Laura Baranowski scored 19 points for Carlow (2-10, 1-3), and Kathryn Fuhrman added 18 points on 6-for-8 on 3-pointers.
