Hubbard Twp. keeps officials, fills positions

HUBBARD -- In addition to retaining the township's police chief and road superintendent, trustees approved filling several part- and full-time positions.
At their reorganizational meeting Monday, trustees' actions included:
URehiring Road Superintendent Walter White for 2005 at an annual salary of $39,940, which is about 3 percent more than his 2004 salary.
UHiring three full-time employees in the road department. The township did not provide information on their wages.
UReappointing Todd Coonce as full-time police chief at an annual salary of $44,342, which represents about a 3 percent increase over 2004.
UHiring six full-time police officers and rehiring 15 part-time officers starting at a salary of $7.50 per hour. ($8.50 after two years and $9.75 after 10 years).
UHiring Janet Aguenda as full-time administrative assistant to the police chief at a salary of $27,754 per year.
UApproving John Beach to serve as part-time zoning inspector, effective Jan. 1, at $8.25 per hour. Beach replaces Eli Moga, who served for 17 years before resigning New Year's Day because of health problems.
UAllowing police officers to work private security details.
