XYOUNGSTOWN -- The marriage of Dr. Shannon Phillips and Dr. Albert Brennsteiner took place at 1 p.m. Nov. 27 at St. Brendan Church.
The bride is a daughter of Janet DeCarlo, 601 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, and Richard A. Phillips of Port Richey, Fla. The groom is a son of Edith Brennsteiner, 1249 Pittsburgh Road, Uniontown, Pa., and the late John J. Brennsteiner.
The Rev. James Daprile officiated, and a reception was held afterward at Antone's Banquet Centre in Boardman.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Costa Rica and are living in Somerset, N.J.
The bride wore a strapless, champagne-colored gown.
She was attended by her sister, Shayne Phillips of Sugarland, Texas, as maid of honor and her cousin, Valerie Kessler of Marysville, as bridesmaid. They wore periwinkle blue gowns. The groom's niece, Samantha Kemp of McClellandtown, Pa., was flower girl.
Paul Brennsteiner of Pittsburgh was best man for his brother, and groomsman was Terry McKusker of Baltimore. Rusty Kemp of McClellandtown, the groom's nephew, was ring bearer.
The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, holds a doctorate from Ohio State University in Columbus and is a research investigator for Bristol-Myers Squibb in New Brunswick, N.J.
The groom earned his doctorate at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, N.M., and is a laboratory supervisor for Jobin-Yuon Co. in Edison, N.J.
