Training sessions setby HBA, safety council
BOARDMAN--The Northern Ohio National Safety Council and the Home Builders Association of the Mahoning Valley will hold training sessions for people who want to get the Occupational Safety and Health Administration 10-hour card, which is required for personnel working at residential construction sites.
The training sessions are designed for builders, remodelers, human resource or safety personnel, owners, managers, supervisors, foreman or anyone having responsibility for OSHA compliance or required to have an OSHA 10 hour card.
The sessions will be Feb. 26 and March 5 at the HBA , 8526 South Ave. in Boardman. The deadline to register is Feb. 18.

Chamber seekingaward nominations
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is soliciting nominations for its annual Donald Cagigas Spirit of the Chamber, the William G. Lyden, Jr. Spirit of the Valley, and the Chairman's Political Achievement awards.
The Spirit of the Chamber award is given for exceptional dedication, commitment and accomplishments on behalf of the Regional Chamber.
The Spirit of the Valley award is presented to someone who has displayed exemplary leadership and commitment to the community, economic development and overall progress of the Valley.
Meanwhile, elected officials, including township, city, county, state or federal, who have demonstrated vision, innovation and commitment to excellence, would be eligible to be nominated for the Political Achievement award.
The awards will be presented at the chamber's annual meeting on March 22.

Microtel Inn offersfree calls, Web access
BOARDMAN --The Microtel Inn at 7393 South Ave. is offering free local and long-distance phone calls and free wireless high-speed Internet access in its guest rooms.
Known as "Project Reveille," the initiative is taking place nationwide in all Microtel Inn & amp; Suites.
"Project Reveille" was introduced earlier this year by US Franchise Systems, parent company of the franchisor of the Microtel Inns & amp; Suites brand worldwide.
The program will also provide advance online check-in and check-out. It enables guests to pre-register online and go directly to their rooms when they arrive as well as avoid the check-out process.
The Microtel Inn Boardman has 92 guest rooms.
Wyndham to sell hotels
DALLAS (AP) -- Wyndham International Inc. said Friday it has agreed to sell 25 hotels, including two in Pennsylvania, for $366 million.
The Wyndham Harrisburg, Wyndham Pittsburgh Airport and 23 other hotels will be sold to a partnership made up of a private investment fund managed by Goldman Sachs and affiliates of Highgate Holdings.
As part of the agreement, the 15 hotels that operate under the Wyndham name will keep the name until new franchise deals are reached. The transaction is expected to close during the first quarter of 2005.
