ANAHEIM ANGELS--Agreed to terms with LHP Tim Bittner, SS-2B Alberto Callaspo, RHP Scott Dunn, SS Maicer Izturis, C Jeff Mathis, 3B Dallas McPherson and RHP Ervin Santana.

CLEVELAND INDIANS--Agreed to terms with RHP Francisco Cruceta, RHP Jason Davis, RHP Kyle Denney, LHP Cliff Lee, INF Brandon Phillips, 1B Ben Broussard, OF Jody Gerut and OF Grady Sizemore on one-year contracts.

National League

ATLANTA BRAVES--Agreed to terms with RHP Roman Colon, LHP Horacio Ramirez, C Johnny Estrada, OF Ryan Langerhans, INF Wilson Betemit, INF Nick Green and INF Adam LaRoche on one-year contracts.

HERSHEY BEARS--Acquired LW Jon Olson from San Antonio for LW Andre Savage.

United Hockey League

UHL--Granted an expansion franchise to Roanoke to begin play in the 2005-06 season. Suspended Danbury coach Todd Sterling three games, F Gerry Hickey 10 games, F John Mirasty five games and D Dave MacIsaac for the remainder of the season for their actions in a Feb. 23 game. Banned F Chad Wagner from participating in any future play in the UHL for his actions in the same game.

COLUMBUS COTTONMOUTHS--Signed C Daryl Moor. Waived C Matt Mathias.

D.C. UNITED--Signed MF Clyde Simms.

CITY COLLEGE OF NEW YORK--Announced the resignation of Gerald Davis, women's basketball coach.

CLEVELAND STATE--Dismissed senior F Omari Westley from the men's basketball team.

EAST CAROLINA--Named Chris Rushing volleyball coach.

FLORIDA--Announced F Bernice Mosby has left the women's basketball team for the remainder of the season.

GEORGIA--Announced Jon Fabris, defensive ends coach, will remain with the school after accepting a similar position with Oklahoma.

NORTH CAROLINA--Announced WR Adarius Bowman and DT Isaiah Thomas will not return to the football team next season.

N.C. STATE--Named Dwayne Dixon wide receivers coach.

NORTHERN ARIZONA--Named Gary Guthmiller wide receivers coach and Tracy Grose football operations coordinator.

TEMPLE--Suspended John Chaney, men's basketball coach, for the remainder of the regular season for ordering rough play by one of his players against Saint Joseph's and an opponent's arm was broken.
