Mount Union posts OAC quarterfinal win

COLUMBUS -- Brett Hershberger was 4-of-6 from 3-point range and finished with 24 points to lead Mount Union to a 95-74 win in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament Wednesday night.

Brad Gerard finished with 20 points for the Purple Raiders (14-12). Kyle Karpinski scored 17 points, while Clay Sanders added 14 points and six assists.

David Kalb scored 20 points for Capital (16-9), while David Johnson added 13.

Mount Union advanced to play Baldwin-Wallace in the semifinals.

Indiana (Pa.) 101, Slippery Rock 61

INDIANA, Pa. -- Glenn Reepmeyer scored 19 points for Slippery Rock.

Bill Johnson added 10 points, Jason Bratten had nine rebounds and Mason Glick had five assists for The Rock (7-20, 5-7 PSAC-West).

IUP (22-7, 7-4) was led by G.J. Macon with 25 points.

Women

INDIANA, Pa. -- Kristen Bonner scored 16 points and had five assists to lead Slippery Rock to a 64-59 victory over Indiana (Pa.).

Stacey Green added 13 points and 12 rebounds for The Rock (10-17, 4-8 PSAC-West), while Amanda Chojnacki had 14 points and 5-of-6 shooting. Amber McFeely had six assists.

Mame Brumbaugh scored 19 points and Molly Miller added 13 for Indiana (9-17, 2-9).
